A mission to Save Construction

Construction is an incredible industry where:

  • Dreams are transformed into realty
  • Bonds are formed for life
  • Anything is possible.

And yet, despite all the amazing facets of this industry, there is still a dark side.

  • Hazing.
  • Harassment.
  • Hidden mental and physical health issues.
  • Lack of support.
  • The list could go on…

If we want to continue as an industry, we need to change. We need to bond together and start tackling the issues within our culture one conversation, one person, one job site at a time.

What We Do

The Blueprint for Change is dedicated to educating the industry and providing actionable steps to start changing construction culture.

We do this through:

  • Weekly Podcasts: centered around construction culture
  • Weekly Emails for Subscribers: offering deeper insight into that week’s topic

Who We Are

Taylor is currently a superintendent for a national general contractor. Her career in construction began by pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering and completing several internships.

Upon entering the workforce, she initially followed the project management track. However, she soon realized that her true passion lay in working with people in the field.

Since then, Taylor has focused on improving construction culture through her toolbox talks, everyday conversations, starting support groups, and presenting at national conferences.

Hector is an assistant superintendent for a national general contractor. His construction journey began out of necessity, starting as a scaffold builder, then advancing to a pipe fitter, and eventually becoming an ironworker.

After facing layoffs, Hector joined a staffing company and later secured a position with a local plumbing company in Florida. There, he gained the confidence to advance to assistant superintendent.

Hector now spends his days striving to be the person on site that he always wished he had.
